There will be about 70 of the best Nature artists in the country displaying paintings and sculpture of wildlife, figure and portrait work, western subject matter and landscapes in a wide range of media. 

My work will include several Ink on Porcelain Clay  and Oil on Panel paintings of wildlife, horses, western characters and landscapes.  This year I will also have a number of high quality giclees on paper and canvas of figure work, and characters.

I will demonstrate my unique techniques on the clay surface, "Claybord" and answer any questions about the technique on Friday, August 18th. Call 505 758-4575 for easy directions to gallery.

These one on one workshops can be tailored to meet the needs of the individual student.  We can focus on Ink on Clay  or Oils painting wildlife,  figure and portrait work or plein aire landscape in the San Luis Valley or surrounding mountains.  Live models of interesting characters and figures (either nude or in costume) can be arranged for a studio session or we can go on a photo shoot of horses, longhorns, elk and buffalo for later rendering in the studio.  Another area of interest may be the very unique and artist friendly Printmaking techniques I have developed using Claybord both to receive prints as well as acting as a printing plate for lithography and intaglio processes.
Accomodations with a private room, bath and kitchen facilities in my home attached to the studio can be arranged or lodging in a nearby resort on the Conejos River is also available.

New work will be shown during August, (date to be determined.)  This is my annual show at Walden Fine Arts.  I usually have around 16 new works in oil and ink on clay with an afternoon demonstration of the ink on clay medium.
